Opening Aqina Railway Encourages China to Invest on Kabul -Quetta, Peshawar Way

Kabul (BNA) China is requesting construction of Peshawar –Kabul Quetta railway at a time that in opinion of experts, with exploitation of Ata Murad Aqina Lozur road – railway, a sound trade race has appeared among the regional countries and Afghanistan neighbors are in favor of good commercial ties with her.

Economic experts said that China is making efforts to develop big economic projects in Afghanistan and the region to export its products to regional markets and find new markets for its products.

Economic analyst Ibrahim Shams said, China has close ties with Pakistan and if she expert pressures on latter, ground will be paved for implantation of economic projects.

It is possible that availing at influence on Pakistan would wish to pave the way for expansion of economic cooperation’s in which Pakistan would also be benefitted. It has been said that China has invested over US $46 billion for construction of many roads and railways from China to Pakistan inside Pakistan territory which is the biggest regional investment in recent years. Politicians believe that Pakistan is facing political, commercial isolation.

While Afghanistan and Pakistan are strongly suffering of increasing insurgencies and presence of terrorist groups, China has started efforts for construction of economic projects.

The ACCI authorities said that improving economic relations with regional countries is in the benefit of Afghanistan. Azrekh Hafizi said that further economic and trade cooperation between Afghanistan and Pakistan is in the benefit of both countries.

Despite of US efforts, Kabul – Islamabad failed to reach agreement for improving of their economic-politic ties as currently trade between the two sides has considerably decreased. Hafizi added, as Pakistan economic partner and political ally, China efforts are aimed at taking Pakistan out of economic-political isolation.

Saifuddin Saihoon an economist believes that forcing Pakistan for pursuing economic cooperation in the region particularly Afghanistan is difficult. Because Pakistan is seeking its interest in insecurity in Afghanistan and for extending of its political influence in Afghanistan, she continues support of hardliners including Taliban insurgents.

This is a challenge and is not an ordinary project connected by security and political challenges.

China efforts for completion of economic belt among the three countries have started at a time that commercial relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have been fading under the influence of political tensions.

Following the failure of peace talks between the two countries, Afghanistan developed its trade ties with central Asian countries and doesn’t allowed Pakistani trucks to transfer Pakistani commodities through Afghanistan to central Asian countries markets.

At the same time the afghan government welcomes every regional economic project and support it and is trying to be changed to contact point of regional countries. China and Iran are expected to be connected through Afghanistan with a new railway.
