Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal has been given the title of “Star Minister” of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) by the Vice Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). Representing Pakistan at the Bao Forum, the federal minister asserted that the CPEC is a trans-regional project which would endorse regional connectivity and stimulate the economic development of Pakistan. Talking about the Chinese foreign direct investment in the developing countries, further he said that Pakistan will be benefited from it. [1]
Reported by the central bank, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI) have formed a CPEC Committee to make the mega project more inclusive with the representation of private sectors. In order to make money available for borrowers under the CPEC project, the commercial banks of China and Pakistan would cooperate to achieve a financial mix. [2]
