With over 22 years of leadership experience in strategic planning, management, advocacy, and training, Ms. Sameena Imtiaz is a seasoned development professional specializing in human rights, gender development, peacebuilding, democracy, and governance. She currently serves as the Head of Programmes at the Centre for Research & Security Studies (CRSS), providing strategic guidance, overseeing implementation, and managing evaluations. Previously, she was the Executive Director of the PEAD Foundation, where she excelled in strategic planning and project management. Her career also includes significant roles at the Fazaldad Human Rights Institute. Sameena has participated in numerous international and national workshops and trainings, including the International Visitors Leadership Program and strategic planning workshops in Germany. As a consultant and trainer, she has contributed to various peace and conflict initiatives and has been actively involved in the Pak-Afghan Women’s Forum and the Coalition for the Rights of Minorities Pakistan. She is a member of the Women Waging Peace and Women’s Democracy Network, advocating for women’s visibility and participation in peace and security and political arenas.
