CRSS is working in Balochistan through a media advocacy campaign “Balochistan Democracy Awareness Initiative” namely “Balochistan Kay Awam ki Awaz” a sequel to Balochistan Youth Forum – (BYF) which completed in 2013. Through this media advocacy, the CRSS endeavors to develop a democratic discourse on socio-political issues facing the people of Balochistan. The radio programs besides in Balochistan, are also aired in the Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh on the radio networks of FM-101 Quetta (Balochistan), FM-101 Peshawar (KP), FM-93 Multan (Punjab), FM-93 Mithi (Sindh) and rebroadcasts the same day on the networks of Turbat and Loralai (Balochistan), Radio Pakistan with the frequency of two programs a week. All the programs are also live streamed on the CRSS website as well. The objective of wider transmission is to propagate and promote de-radicalization and ensure fundamental human rights, political accountability and democratic discourse all over Pakistan. The human resource created as a result of BYF i.e. the youth leaders also participate in these radio programs. The program will run through March 2014 to February 2015. Eight live/recorded shows are being produced and aired each month which also include field based research stories by CRSS field journalists and live interactive calls. This will be an 11- month activity of approximately 180 research based field reports.
