1. What sort of message multiplicative activity/ activities did you conduct after the PACE collaborative workshop? What was the topic of discussion? What was discussed during the event?
A talk was conducted on the topic “Moral and Ethics: Where do we stand”. The target audience was the graduate students enrolled in master degree program. The audience were taught what morality and ethics are. Different examples from within the society were presented. The audience were told that moral values is the most important aspect of our lives. The main problem in the current Pakistani society is that we do not respect each other. This is the reason, we betray and deceive each other without hesitation. Few Hadees were quoted to show the importance of adapting good moral character. It was also discussed that there are reasons for us to be morally good, what the reasons are which are obstacles in the society and stopping us to adapt good moral values. It was insisted that it is everyone’s responsibility to adopt moral values instead of criticizing the wrong deeds of others.
2. What was the feedback received from the participants of discussion? Do you think that the discussion was beneficial for them?
The feedback by the participant was very good. The talk was not only informatory for them but also very thought provoking. The participants agreed that they shall adapt good moral values and they will try to be ethically strong and to do this they don’t need to aim for difficult things. They said that they will start with simple things like saying thank you, or keeping the door opened if someone is behind them and being courteous. I believe the talk/discussion was very beneficial for the audience and these discussions should be regularly organized.
3. Did you face any issues conducting the event and interacting with the participants on PACE themes?
There was not anything noticeable as the audience was mature, literate and they had a sense to understand and listen to the speaker. Also, the speaker did not discuss any controversial issues/points. Since, this was the first session and to make the first activity beneficial, selective points were discussed.
