1. What sort of message multiplicative activity/ activities did you conduct after the PACE collaborative workshop? What was the topic of discussion? What was discussed during the event?
I conducted workshop under the title of leadership and motivation. Along with the lecture there were activities, discussion, case- study documentary and then refreshment. Motivation and Leadership were defined and elaborated along with their components. It was discussed how they both are inter-related; what types of motivational techniques can be used for self as well as for others; how to become an effective leader as well as when to follow an effective one; and eventually how all this will end up making one a good human being—a beneficial one for the community.
2. What was the feedback received from the participants of discussion? Do you think that the discussion was beneficial for them?
Feedback was good. It is the first ever workshop conducted in our department. Students said it provided them a new insight on their life and society and want to have more such activities. I felt that such workshops can provide further long-lasting impact if conducted on regular intervals; most importantly what I learned during the PACE workshops,if I make that a part of my routine lectures, then I hope several students can benefit from this.
3. Did you face any issues conducting the event and interacting with the participants on PACE themes?
I had been planning it ever since I came back from PACE Workshop in Islamabad, so everything went according to the set plan. However the university transformer was out of order that day, ACs weren’t working due which room got hot and affected students alertness a little for which I had to put more energy to keep them engaged. Despite such petty issues, the event went well and there was no issue felt in engaging the participants on PACE themes. The material provided was very helpful.
