Formal Sessions on three major domains of the CSSR were conducted. Following topics were discussed:
1-Peace and Sustainable Development in Pakistan
The following topics were discussed under the said heading
- Conceptual framework of Peace
- Typology of Peace
- Situation analysis of peace at global level
- Existing situation of peace in Pakistan
- Development issues in Pakistan
- Peace and Sustainable Development in Pakistan: Need of the hour
2-Equity, Social Justice and Religious Harmony
The following topics were discussed under the said heading
- Concept and foundations of Equity and Social Justice
- Role of different Religions to promote Equity and Social Justice
- Situation of Social Justice and Religious Harmony in Pakistan
- Need to promote religious harmony between minorities and majorities of Pakistan.
3-Tolerance to Promote Civic Sense
The following topics were discussed under the said heading
- Civic Sense: sixth required sense for individuals
- Concept and implications of Civic Sense at community level (how we should behave, how we are behaving and how we need to behave in our community under the umbrella of civic sense)
- Correlation of tolerance and civic sense
- Tolerance to Promote Civic Sense in Pakistan: a required phenomenon
- What was the feedback received from the participants of discussion? Do you think that the discussion was beneficial for them?
In order to receive feedback from the participants following activities were conducted.
- Different coupons having titles of diversity, security, equality & peace, tolerance, rule of law, social justice, equity and governance were distributed among the groups of the participants and later their verbal feedback was taken to receive their understanding level. The participants, by themselves claim that the session was beneficial for them and they have an understanding of these concepts now.
- Participants presented their written concepts regarding the whole day session.
- Did you face any issues conducting the event and interacting with the participants on PACE themes?
- No such issue regarding logistics was faced as it was provided by the University of Sargodha (like hall with furniture, lights & TV).
