Pakistan is located in one of the most important strategic corridors of the world and could offer a great deal of opportunities both to the region and the world. The most important war of the 21st century is being fought in and around Pakistani borders and it has been playing the role of the leading nation in war against terrorism. It has suffered a lot but has survived proudly and with its armed forces moving against the militants, the society and State have grown stronger.
People of Pakistan, against the commonly held belief, have always spoken and acted in favor of democracy. They did it again in February 2008 and voted out the government of the political party that supported a military dictator for eight years. CRSS firmly believes that Pakistan's future is bright and it could only be achieved via democratic developments and solidifying the democratic institutions. The Center is an ardent observer of the evolution of democracy and conduct of governance in Pakistan.
Environment is one of the most neglected areas among the State priorities in Pakistan. There is a Federal Ministry for Environment but no serious attention is seemingly paid both by the institutions and the society. CRSS believes that Pakistan's environmental preservation is an issue of National Security and therefore, has acted as a catalyst to promote the cause of environment for the sake of Pakistan's coming generations.
CRSS partners with local and international development organizations to carry out tasks of social development and importance. It maintains a fully functional accounting and audit department and ensures open and free access to all project related documents to its various sponsors. The Center firmly and unshakably believes in transparency, responsible conduct and provides full assistance and support to its sponsors for ensuring integrity.
